Dark Vengeance

The heartbeat of Night is beating loud and strong in my ears. The winds whistle and playfully pull leaves off the trees. I would laugh at the merriment, except darkness has enveloped me in the worst possible way. There is a man, petty and mean, who has done some pretty awful things to me. I have always turned the other cheek. But tonight, as I sit in the dying garden with Night's cloak spread out around me, I feel the need for vengeance coursing pure and cold through my veins, a dark fire that empowers and terrifies me. I have shamed him so badly he can no longer show his face at family functions. I have fought with him hand-to-hand and emerged victorious. Bruised and battered, but victorious. I have channeled every attack he's made on me back onto himself. And still he tries to push me, to see how far he can go before I snap and the two titans will struggle for domination once more, sending the kiddies scurrying for cover. I have slowly squeezed his resources dry, until he is a desperate man. And still he tries. I have alienated him from the people he once would have turned to, and still he tries. I have fought with every fiber in my being, and fought on pure adrenaline, and pounded him so hard a masochist would have begged for mercy. And still he tries. Someday, he will realise the futility of fighting against a superior being, but for now, I will still have painful lessons to teach him. School of hard knocks is in session, and I will take great delight in punishing this miserable excuse for a man, exact vengeance for all the times when I was a convenient punching bag. He has incurred my wrath once more, and this time I hold nothing back. This is an all out assault to destroy whatever's left of him. I launch my campaign of vengeance tomorrow, with meticulous attention to detail. He will be punished.
Alecto, Tisiphone, Magaera, the three Furies of Vengeance, awaken and take heed.
